King's Crab Shack & Oyster Bar To Occupy Former Grilled Asparagus Space On 4th St.

A new restaurant is coming to 4th St. in downtown Winston-Salem. "King's Crab Shack and Oyster Bar" will be coming to the space formerly occupied by The Grilled Asparagus on 4th Street between Cherry and Trade Streets.

Will Kingery and Norb Cooper, of Willow's Bistro, will be converting the 2,400 sq. ft. space to a "fun & relaxed" seafood establishment- with a full lunch, dinner and late night menu. The restaurant will be open seven days a week and feature a bar with 14 beers on tap and full ABC permits. Six flat screen televisions will also welcome guests into a comfortable atmosphere. Fresh seafood that will be on the menu will include steamed and fried oysters, crab and other favorites. Other non-seafood items will also be available- such as burgers and chicken. The newest restaurant addition to downtown will be open to the public in October 2011.

Stay tuned to the Downtown W-S Blog for more info, including graphics to be released soon! The new restaurant owners can also be reached at kingscrab@gmail.com.

This announcement follows other recent restaurant developments in downtown Winston-Salem- including the recent openings of Buena Pinta Mexican Restaurant, Lucky Blue and Camino Bakery on 4th Street; the recent opening of Ziggy's and the soon-to-be open District Rooftop Bar & Grille on Trade Street, as well as the large expansion of Finnigan's Wake Irish Pub & Kitchen. Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar is also currently under construction at the corner of 4 1/2 and Spring Streets. Xia's Asian Bistro also announced that they will be returning downtown in the Liberty Plaza building.
