As the alchemist and the base metal are changed to gold so too is the hand stacked brick that forms the wall of this historic building on Liberty street is being transformed, no... transmuted to gold. Day by day before our communities eyes the process and participants are re-creating the alchemical dream with their hearts, minds, dreams and efforts we see the myths of the ancients unraveled, unveiled and revealed and made real.
So simple in design we are licensed to brush aside the veil of wonder to glimpse through the artists eye by the guided and unleashed hands of the vital youth the gold of a new dream on the horizon... I could go on but lets stop to watch this unfold...

Nice mural....but hopefully it will be viewable only from the alley that results from new construction on that vacant lot. We have a bad habit of tearing things down before we are prepared to build anything in their place. There are countless examples of this downtown. let's please redevelop these blank spaces before tearing anything else down

Note the old billboard frame atop the Nading Building next door. I'd sure love to see a sign there again and have those buildings properly restored. There is so little antiquity left after five decades of mindless demolition, especially on Liberty and main Streets.
