Gateway Gallery is featuring the works of Steven W. Dunn and clay artist Janet Childress of the Enrichment Center. Dunn's paintings depict impressive views of downtown Winston-Salem. The exhibit will remain on display through July 18. For more information, call 777-0076, ext. 238.

I had the pleasure of seeing Steven's downtown paintings and they are wonderful. You'll know exactly where each one was painted. ACCJ
I bought a painting by Janet Childress over 25 years ago when I was living in Winston. It was a large piece called "Starlight" that I bought for myself for my birthday. I was rehearsing in the Arts Council Building, where Janet and others were performing that night, and the painting was among other works for sale in the lobby. I never got the chance to meet Janet, but her painting has always meant a lot to me, and I still enjoy it.
