The Arts Council of Winston-Salem is currently soliciting nominations for this year’s Arts Council Award and R. Philip Hanes Jr. Young Leader Award. Information is listed below. Awards will be presented at the Arts Council’s Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 8:00AM in Gray Auditorium at Old Salem’s Visitor Center.
Arts Council Award
The honoree selected as the recipient of this recognition award has exhibited a strong commitment of volunteer service and has made a significant impact and contribution to the arts in our community.
R. Philip Hanes Jr. Young Leader Award
The honoree selected as the recipient of this recognition award is 40 years of age or younger and has exemplified volunteer dedication, contributions and leadership. The time, talent and energy demonstrated by this young leader has furthered the missions of arts and cultural entities of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County and has left a legacy of service for future young leaders as well as for the future development of the cultural resources of our community.
Nomination forms can be obtained from The Arts Council by contacting Mona Campbell, 722-2585 or mcampbell@intothearts.org. In addition to the form, a letter of nomination stating why the nominee should be considered is required. Completed nomination materials must be received by Friday, October 2, 2009.
