The original Tree on Trade Mural which was going to be replaced on Trade Street back in August of 2009 was put on hold due to uncertainty with potential tenants in the building. If you head over to Liberty Street between 5th and 6th Streets, you will see it being installed on the side of the Fairway Home Care Building at 534 N. Liberty Street.
The mural is the work of Marianne DiNapoli Mylet who is responsible for many of the murals in our city. Make sure to check out her website at

This mural was funded by the Winston-Salem Foundation and sponsored by the Downtown Arts District Association. Marianne has named the mural Tree at Last......Tree at Last
When the mural is completed, the Downtown Blog is going to do a video interview of Marianne with her explaining all of the symbols and graphcis in the mural and their background stories.
