Get Plugged In! --- Friday, January 21st at 10:30 AM at Aperture

In preparation for the upcoming 2012 Downtown Plan Update (updated every 5 years), the DWSP Planning Committee is hosting the first installment of the Get Plugged In Series, a monthly series of events taking place in the Spring of 2010 intended to encourage community and stakeholder participation in the downtown planning process.  The first event will be the screening of the film "The Next American Dream:  The Story of American Downtowns". 
Details

Location - Aperture Cinema, 305 W. Fourth Street (Across the street from Mellow Mushroom)

Time - Friday, January 21st at 10:30 AM (film will begin at 10:30 AM exactly)

Program - The 60 minute film will be shown, followed by moderated remarks and comments from Downtown Planning Committee members and questions from attendees.

  • Tuesday, February 22nd - DWSP Annual Meeting with Keynote speaker TBD
  • Friday, March 18th - Panel Discussion with questions at 10:30 AM.  Location and Topic are currently being developed.  More info coming soon.

Excellent idea and concept but let's leave the development of it all to the private sector and not rely on the local or state or even federal governments to fund this urban utopia

I really enjoyed today's event. The music video was enjoyable, the Kansas City video was very relevant to Winston-Salem and the discussions were good. I look forward to attending future events.
