For the second straight season, the Winston-Salem Dash and Greensboro Grasshoppers will compete for bragging rights in the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association’s “Fill the Stands with Cans” food drive at the teams’ respective ballparks. The food drive benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
Dash fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned food items or cash donations to BB&T Ballpark for the game on Friday, July 8 at 7 p.m. against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Fans who participate will be eligible to win prizes throughout the night and fireworks will follow the game.
“We are looking forward to teaming up with the Grasshoppers for this worthy cause,” said Dash Vice President of Ticket Sales Mike Thompson. “We know that our fans will step up to the plate and help support those less fortunate who will benefit from this friendly competition.”
