Winston-Salem Symphony Discovery Concert for Kids to Feature Dr. Seuss November 5

The Winston-Salem Symphony is presenting Bravo, Dr. Seuss! as its first Discovery Concert for Kids

Bravo, Dr.Seuss! will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2:00 p.m. (preconcert activities start at 1:00 p.m.) at the K.R. Williams Auditorium, Winston-Salem State University,  3601 Martin Luther
King Jr. Dr. in Winston-Salem.


Conducted by Associate Conductor, Matthew Troy, and featuring music set to the stories of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss, this concert is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It includes musical versions of Green Eggs and Ham, Gertrude McFuzz and lots of other favorites. The concert begins at 2 p.m. but the doors open at 1 p.m. for a variety of preconcert events including musical activities and games and an instrument petting zoo. Preconcert activities are included in the price of the concert ticket.

Single tickets are $5 for children, ages three to 12 (age two and under, free) and $9 for adults.

Season tickets for Discovery concerts are $36 for each adult, which includes one free child subscription. Each additional child subscription is $10. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Symphony Box Office at 336.464.0145 or online at www.wssymphony.org.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door one hour prior to the concert.
