Registration Open for Old Salem Summer Camps!




Five Yesterdays for rising 3rd through 8th Grade

The Five Yesterdays week long program immerses the participants in the past with fun and historically based hands-on activities such as hearth side cooking, pottery, weaving, dyeing with natural materials, making bricks, basket making, and much more. Learn what it was like to be a child growing up in Salem long ago!

Each year the activities change so no matter how many times your child attends our Five Yesterdays and Three Yesterdays programming they will learn something new.

Cost: $175/$140 Friends of Salem
*Deadline for registration is May 11*


Three Yesterdays for rising 1st through 2nd Grade


Rising 1st and 2nd graders are invited to follow Sister Maus through Salem and discover how children worked, learned, and played long ago.

Activities include: Making and playing with 18th century toys, hearth cooking, gardening, learning in a traditional school and a puppet show with Sister Maus.

Cost: $100/$85 Friends of Salem

Apprenticeship Program for Grades 9-11

The Apprentice Program is a two week hands-on experience with the Old Salem Historic Trades staff.

Apprentices will learn about the importance of trades and how the knowledge and skills of the craftsmen were handed down generation to generation.

Cost: $250/$225 Friends of Old Salem
*Applications must be submitted by May 1, 2012*
