Give Us Your Input! Seeking "Attributes" for Civic Plaza Area

Downtown Winston-Salem is experiencing a positive rebirth and we would like your help in developing a "district identity" for the very center of our downtown.

This name will serve as its distinct “district” name, much the same way that we recognize the Arts District, Piedmont Triad Research Park, Twin City Quarter, or West End. We have until now used a “working” title called civic plaza, and we are seeking to develop a more dynamic “brand” that describes the attributes of the history, culture, and potential for this very special and distinct location.

We need your Help to develop the attributes (inherent characteristics) of this unique district.

Click here to give us your input.

PLEASE NOTE: We are seeking attributes as opposed to specific name recommendations.

Once we receive attributes from the public, our local creative experts at One Hero Creative will synthesize these attributes into several recommended finalists which will be submitted to the DWSP Board of Directors for final determination.

Once a new district name is selected, then the long-term process of developing district identity will begin.
