Phase 2 of the Hilltop House Apartments under construction
Links to earlier blog posts about Hilltop House
I have received many calls in the last few weeks from people looking for apartments to rent in downtown Winston-Salem. Sadly, it is increasingly hard if not impossible to find a rental unit. These new units when they are finished will surely be quickly absorbed into the apartment market in downtown Winston-Salem. This demand has not gone unnoticed by housing developers, especially those from out of town. The current projects under construction are this one and Winston Factory Lofts #2. http://downtownwinstonsalem.blogspot.com/2012/03/winston-factory-lofts-phase-2-field.html
For those keeping track of the other proposed projects, here is a link to each of them, (let me know if I am missing a project)

Amazing, 13 years ago when I lived downtown I had a huge one bed room apartment on Spring St. for $375.00 an month! No one wanted to live downtown and it was practically a ghost town. Now when I go back it's like a whole new town I barely recognize the place.
